ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project builds upon two previous HRZZ projects that resulted in a total of 19 publications in prestigious scientific journals. The aim of the project is to develop methods for numerical optimization of 3D shapes with coupled adjustment of the numerical model based on experimental data. The impact of this feedback loop on the obtained solutions will heavily depend on the quality and quantity of experiments, which is why a significant part of the project focuses on prototyping and their testing. Testing is planned on vertical-axis wind turbines in an existing ad-hoc aerodynamic tunnel, but other engineering problems will also be considered.
